The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has forecasted 15 to 20 per cent decline in export in the month of March following slump in demand under the impact of global slowdown.

USA and Europe, the traditional markets for Indian products, are grappled with hard financial conditions with unemployment spreading across all nations due to large scale layoffs as firms are facing shortage of contracts due to low demand and reduction in customers spending.

The Newfoundland and Labrador health authority said that it has identified 38 patients from Eastern Health's region who meet the criteria for re-testing, 24 out of these are no longer alive.

The release said: "In an effort to ensure that we identify as many potentially affected individuals as possible, and given previously recognized challenges with internal information systems, in November, Eastern Health engaged the services of the NL Centre for Health Information. During the past week, NLCHI has provided a number of patient charts for clarification."

Bollywood film producers will begin an indefinite strike on Saturday. The strike is the result of tussle between multiplexes and producers over the revenue sharing. Both parties failed to reach at any amicable solution. Under the protest no new films will be released in popular multiplex cinemas. This strike will lead to Rs 100 to 200 crore losses to producers, distributors and exhibitors.

Filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt, who heads the United Producers Distributors Forum said the losses could mount to over Rs 500 crore if a solution is not reached at the earliest.

Anil Nair, a social activist has logged a complaint at the Vakola police station against the actor, his wife Twinkle Khanna and the event organizers.
