A gesture for the sake of fun has landed Akshay Kumar in trouble. Akshay Kumar's unbuttoning act during Lakme Fashion Week has brought wrath of social activists.

Anil Nair, a social activist has logged a complaint at the Vakola police station against the actor, his wife Twinkle Khanna and the event organizers.

Akshay Kumar said: "If I have hurt anyone's sentiments with my actions, I am sorry because I did not mean to."

Nair says that Akshay Kumar being an idol for the youth today has shamed the nation with his behaviour. He should not only apologise but also return the Padma Shri award he was honoured with on March 31.

However some people believe that people are making unwanted issue of small things.

Anand Kabra, designer said: "I was there -- and I think what Akshay did was in good fun and humour; it all stopped at the right point."

Rocky S, designer said that this is nothing but yet another publicity stunt; someone out there wants to get cheap thrills out of making an issue of what is basically a non-issue. Twinkle just undid one button; it's not like she stripped him or something!
