New Delhi, Mar 5 : Bollywood actor-turned-politician Sanjay Dutt, who was named by the Samajwadi Party as its candidate for the forthcoming general elections, on Thursday moved the Supreme Court seeking a stay on his conviction under the Arms Act in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

Dutt can only contest the Lok Sabha polls if he gets a stay.

The petition was filed on Thursday morning and will be mentioned in the apex court on Friday for early hearing.

Country oldest political party, Congress is all set to use AR Rahman's Oscar winning music score ‘Jai Ho’ in its poll campaign.

The party has got the rights of the award-winning song from musical company T-series. The party feels that the popularity of the song and the excitement created by the Oscar win to correspond its point to the voters.

Confirming the development, Manish Tiwari, Congress party spokesperson said, “If one party deserves the song to be played during campaigns it is the Congress party because of its image.”

New Delhi, Mar. 4 (ANI): China's Ambassador to India Zhang Yan on Wednesday condemned Tuesday's attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore.

Speaking to reporters here on the sidelines of an event, Ambassador Yan urged the world community to come together to fight the menace of terrorism.

"We are opposing any terrorist action. .all countries should work together to fight against all forms of terrorists," said Yan.

New Delhi, Mar. 4 (ANI): The Pakistan Government was warned about a possible attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team by the Crime Investigation Department (CID), Punjab, recently.

The Punjab CID had also tabled a `secret' report saying that the Indian intelligence agency-RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) was chalking out plans to attack the Lankan to malign Pakistan's image on the international stage.

The report tagged "SECRET/IMMEDIATE" with subject "SOURCE REPORT" said : "It has reliably been learnt that RAW (Indian intelligence agency) has assigned its agents the task to target Sri Lankan cricket team during its current visit to Lahore, especially while travelling between the hotel and stadium or at hotel during their stay.
