YES Bank launches ‘Branch of the Future’ in Delhi
In a bid to transform and enhance the use of cutting edge technology across all its branches, YES Bank launched 'Branch of the Future' at its South Extension branch in the capital spread across 10,000 sq ft area. The bank would focus on optimum use of technology in the transaction process to offer highly reliable and efficient services to customers.
The bank has also introduced Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) in Indian retail banking for proper identification of customers. The technology, powered by Skandsoft Technologies, is achieved by inserting a RFID microchip into the debit card which would transmit relevant information by customer to the information manager of bank.
GEVP & country head of bank, Ravi Shankar, said, "We believe branch banking of the future will increasingly focus on delivering meaningful advisory services to manage and grow individual savings and wealth rather than providing only transaction facilities."
The bank is currently operating through 117 branches across 92 locations having two national centers in Mumbai and Gurgaon. It would open 60 more branches to expand its presence across the country after getting approval from the Reserve Bank.
