The manufacturer of cameras and digital imaging products – Nikon India yesterday declared that it is planning to expand the number of its retail stores, to enhance its presence in the Indian Market. The camera maker announced that it will hire around 200 salespersons to beef up its sales force, under its retail expansion plan in India.

Speaking of the expansion plan of the company, Hidehiko Tanaka, the Managing Director of Nikon India, said, "Our expansion plans include increasing our sales force. So, this year we would be hiring around 200 demonstrators."

Thus it replaces the classic 50mm focal length, long a standard in photography for having a field of vision similar to the human eye.

Nikon, well known electronics company, recently announced the latest version of its D80 camera. The new SLR camera has been named D90. The new camera is a step ahead in the latest technology, as it would give you images with fine details, rich colors and smooth tones through its 12.3 mega-pixel sensor with EXPEED image processor.

The D90 camera, which has a 3-inch, approx. 920k-dot high-density color LCD screen, comes with three contrast-detect AF modes, that promises to give you focus on any point in the frame leading to a greater variety of composition.

Nikon Coolpix has launched Coolpix P6000 digital camera. It has in-built global positioning system (GPS) and equipped with 13.5 mega pixels capacity. It will rove best photographic tool for photography lovers.

The general manager of COOLPIX for Nikon Inc, Mr. Bill Giordano said that the new capabilities of the camera will be helpful for the customers. It will provide GPS functionality and my Picture town connectivity. The newly launched camera can be easily connected through LAN and a dedicated Ethernet port. It provides the facilities of intuitive controls and offers programmed auto, shutter-priority auto, aperture-priority auto and manual modes.
