Amman - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan held talks at the Red Sea resort of Aqaba Wednesday with Jordan's King Abdullah as part of regional tour aimed at ending the Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.

Abdullah urged the world community "to move immediately to stop the Israeli aggression which represents a flagrant violation of humanitarian, legal and ethical standards", the statement said.

Ramallah - Condemning the Israeli offensive in Gaza as a "heinous aggression" and a "horrific crime," Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Wednesday that negotiations with Israel cannot continue in their current form.

Cairo - More than 10,000 demonstrators took to the streets of Cairo on Wednesday protesting against the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip.

Several demonstrations were held in the different parts of the Egyptian capital, with the largest taking place in Ramses street, one of Cairo's major boulevards.

About 10,000 people blocked the street, shouting slogans against Israel, eyewitnesses said. Protestors marched through the street until they reached the Press Syndicate headquarters.

The Press Syndicate, along with the Bar Association and the Doctors Syndicate, all located downtown, are customary focal points for protest demonstrations in Cairo.

Amman - Jordan's King Abdullah II held his second meeting in less than a week on Wednesday with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to review the outcome of efforts exerted so far to try to stop further Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.

The meeting at the Red Sea resort of Aqaba took place a few hours before the arrival of the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was due to hold separate talks with the two Arab leaders in the course of a regional tour.

Tel Aviv - Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni will travel to Paris Thursday to debate the crisis in Gaza with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Prime Minister Francois Fillon, a senior adviser said.

The adviser, Yigal Palmor, said they would discuss "different ideas about what can be done on the diplomatic level" - but not a French proposal for a 48-hour humanitarian truce in Gaza, which Israel has rejected.
