Tata Motors introduces new generation sedan - Indigo Manza

Tata MotorsSix years after the launch of its Indigo range, Tata Motors Wednesday introduced its new generation sedan - Indigo Manza, which will take on the Hyundai Accent, the Ford Ikon, the Maruti Swift Dzire and the Mahindra Logan in the entry mid-size segment.

The ex-showroom Delhi cost of all-new version of the Indigo sedan, to become available Friday onwards, will be Rs 4.8 lakh for the base petrol model and Rs. 6.75 lakh for the top-end diesel model.

The new Indigo Manza, which has been developed on the same platform as the new generation Indica Vista, will be available countrywide through 224 dealerships and 493 outlets of Tata Motors.

Describing the new Manza as a modern, contemporary sedan, the Tata Motors' Chairman Ratan N Tata said that the car has been built on a platform which can potentially emerge as a class leader.

It boasts newest features like anti-lock braking system (ABS), collapsible steering column, and frontal airbags.

Specifying that the current Indigo range will co-exist with the new version Manza, Tata Motors said: "A rationalised portfolio of the existing Tata Indigo range - the Indigo CS, Indigo XL and the Indigo Marina - will continue to exist. Between the existing Tata Indigo range and the new Tata Indigo Manza range, customers will have a choice at every step of the Rs. 3.73 lakh Rs. 6.75 lakh price range."
