Sensex Gains 93.93 Pts; Realty, Banking Shine

The 30-share index BSE Sensex continued to trade in the positive terrain on the Sensex Gains 93.93 Pts; Realty, Banking Shine back of good buying action witnessed in pivotal stocks.

Realty, metal, power and banking stocks went up while FMCG and IT traded negatively.

BSE Midcap and Smallcap gained 0.95% & 0.82% respectively.

At 12:59 p.m, Sensex gained 93.93 points, or 0.65%, at 14,637.66, after touching a high of 14,703.57 and a low of 14,584.03.

On the other hand, the broad based Nifty stood at 4,396.20, up 27.95 points or 0.64%, after hitting a high of 4,416.35 and a low of 4,365.45.

The overall market breadth was positive as it saw 1,623 advancements as against 794 declinations.

The major gainers in the 30-share index included Reliance Communications, which gained 3.18%, Bharat Heavy Electricals surged 2.36%, Reliance Energy zoomed 2.19%, NTPC rose 1.79%, Tata Power Company increased 1.63%, and Maruti Suzuki India climbed 1.63%.

The major losers’ list included Mahindra & Mahindra, which declined 2.42%, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation lost 1.98%, Satyam Computer Services rejected 1.02%, Housing Development Finance Corporation missed 0.62%, Hindustan Unilever declined 0.55%, and Infosys Technologies went down 0.18%.

Stock market analyst Vishwas Agarwal stated that BSE above 14,350 level, 14,555 and 14,786 are next two important levels for the stock markets to maintain growth. The current mood is not clear as there is no big event to assist the stock market and until FII and negative global markets are keeping domestic traders as well as investors watchful.
