Security beefed up across Pak to trap six ''suicide bombers''

PakistanLahore, Sept 25 : Security has been beefed up in several parts of the country after intelligence agencies reported that as many as six suicide bombers had entered into major cities.

According to Interior Ministry sources, all the four provincial governments had been informed about possible strikes by these bombers in Karachi, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Multan, Lahore and Islamabad.

Meanwhile, 15 people were arrested from Rawalpindi on terror charges.

According to sources, an intelligence agency had warned that Islamabad faced the threat of more attacks and the terrorists could now use small vehicles to carry out the attacks.

Earlier, three men were arrested and two explosive-laden trucks were seized in Sara-e-Alamgir area of the Jehlum.

A joint security system for the FIA headquarters in Islamabad and other sensitive government buildings has already been devised by the federal government.

Security has already been tightened at all hydel and thermal powerhouses including Tarbela and Mangla by the WAPDA, the Daily Times reported. (ANI)
