Sarah Palin considered aborting fifth child

Sarah Palin considered aborting fifth childNew York, April 18 : Alaska Governor Sarah Palin admitted having considered abortion when she was pregnant with her fifth child.

The former Republican vice-presidential candidate made the confession in a speech heard by 3,000 people in Evanston, Indiana on April 16.

The 45-year-old revealed that she did think, for a moment, of terminating her pregnancy but deciding against it and having baby Trig, who turned one on April 18, was "the best thing that ever happened to her".

"There, just for a fleeting moment, I thought, I knew, nobody knows me here. Nobody would ever know. I thought, wow, it is easy," the New York Daily News quoted her as telling Vanderburgh County Right to Life banquet.

"It could be easy to think maybe of trying to change the circumstances. . . No one would ever know," she added.

According to AOL. com, Palin, who was already a mother of four at 44, also said it was hard for to imagine "putting down the BlackBerry and picking up the breast pump."

But that it was her religious conviction that made her realise abortion "wasn''t any answer".

A grateful Palin continued: "Trig is a miracle. He is the best thing that ever happened to me and I want other women to have that opportunity. I know for sure my son is perfect just as he is, made in the image of God." (ANI)
