The researchers say that schizophrenics lack the vital brain receptor cells that control them.

They made this discovery when they used a drug, called ketamine, for switching off the receptors in rats, the waves changed frequency.

The scientists believe that the new work could pave the way for new treatments.

London, Nov 3 : British security services MI5 and MI6 are learnt to have intercepted up to 100 potential terrorists posing as postgraduate students, who they (security services) believe tried to gain access to top laboratories and collect the materials and expertise needed to create chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons.

It has also been found that most of these students belong to countries such as Pakistan and Iran.

“Dozens of suspected terrorists have attempted to infiltrate Britain’s top laboratories in order to develop weapons of mass destruction during the past year,” reported The Observer.

Roman Age coins hoard declared a ''treasure trove''London, Nov 3 : One of the largest deposits of Roman coins ever found in Wales, UK, which consists of nearly 6,000 copper alloy coins, has been declared a treasure trove.

According to a report by BBC, the Roman coins hoard was found buried in two pots in a field at Sully, Vale of Glamorgan, by a local metal detector enthusiast in April.

Two separate hoards were found by the metal detectorist on successive days, one involving 2,366 coins and the other 3,547 coins, 3m away.

Sir Winston ChurchillLondon, Nov 3: A 1941 iconic portrait of British PM Sir Winston Churchill is all set go on display in an exhibition of works by the legendary photographer Yousuf Karsh.

The Armenian-born Karsh died in 2002 after a career of more than 70 years.

He named Churchill’s portrait as ‘The Roaring Lion’.

He has photographed the likes of Fidel Castro, Nikita Krushchev and Pope John Paul II along with glamorous Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot and a young Jacqueline Kennedy, wife of John F Kennedy, reports the Telegraph.

Louise Bedford, 29, was preparing to have a Caesarean section at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester when her sister, Lisa Reeve, 31, went into labor at home and was rushed to same hospital ward..

Shortly thereafter, Reeve gave birth to Jude, who weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces, while within the hour Bedford delivered Archie, who weighed in at 10 pounds.
