London, Sept 21: Lava flow could have covered features on Mars that appear to have experienced catastrophic flooding, and this could make future landing missions for search of past water on the Red Planet more troublesome, according to a new NASA study.

The results follow the detailed examination for more than three months by the agency’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter of the valley system called Athabasca Valles, which has long been interpreted as having been carved out by sudden, catastrophic flooding.

AIIMS Convocation Postponed To October 25

New Delhi: According to Health Ministry sources, the AIIMS convocation in which the medical students were to be granted degree certificates has been delayed to October.

Now, the students were to be honored their degree certificates by Union Health Minister, Anbumani Ramadoss, on September 25.

The sourced stated, “The Minister has prior appointment on September 25 and the date of convocation was fixed without his consent.”

Govt not directly opposed to news broadcast on FM channels: Dasmunsi

New Delhi, Sept 19 : Asserting that the Centre is not “straightaway opposed” to the broadcast of news and current affairs in the FM Radio, Information and Broadcasting Minister P.R. Dasmunsi today said the government did not allow this as there is no effective system to monitor the FM stations.
