London, Jan 24 : TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson, who is popularly known for her alleged affair with former England manager Sven Goran-Eriksso, has been crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother.
The thrilled Swedish star, 41, said: "I'm shocked I won. I was the last woman in that house.
"But I've beaten the boys and won it for my `sisters'."
Ulrika, who is rumoured to be the highest paid star with a fee of 175,000 pounds, pipped TV host Terry Christian to land the first position, reports the Daily Star.
Washington, Jan 24: A 41-year-old British man murdered his estranged wife after becoming `enraged' when she changed her marital status to "single" on Facebook.
Edward Richardson was found guilty of murdering Sarah Richardson, 26, a hairdresser, in her parents' house in Staffordshire on May 12 last year.
Fiona Cortese of the Crown Prosecution Service said: "Richarsdon became enraged when Sarah changed her marital status on Facebook to single and decided to go and see her as she was not responding to his messages."
London, Jan 24: Socialite Paris Hilton brought Tokyo to a standstill after she stopped over to grab a Subway sandwich.
The 27-year-old heiress, who's visiting Japan on business, was flocked by fans when she instructed her limo driver to pull over to the side of the road and get her a Subway sandwich, reports the Sun.
However, Hilton didn't let her fans down and posed with fans still sitting in the back of her Rolls Royce, waiting for her order.
London, Jan 23 : A piece of music by the Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which laid undiscovered in a French library for years, had its first known public performance in the western France.
Violinist Daniel Cuiller played the two minute-long piece before a small audience in Nantes.
The masterpiece was found by staff at the city''s library, and authenticated as an original work of the Austrian composer last September.
The score is on display at Nantes Castle until 22 February, reports the BBC.
London, Jan 23 : Over 400 years after the death of Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe, Prague scientists are speculating that he was murdered by a contract killer.
A team of experts from Denmark have asked the authorities for permission to open and explore the grave of Brahe who died in Prague in 1601.
They are hoping to learn more about one of the most famous scholars of the time - and perhaps to throw more light on his mysterious death.
London - A German consortium is poised to mount a takeover bid for Chelsea, according to reports in the British media on Friday.
Dr Sulaiman al Fahim, who represented Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Mansour in his 200 million-pound (274 million dollars) takeover of Manchester City in August, is understood to be working on the deal with Switzerland-based private equity firm Falcon Equity.
Chelsea is currently owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, who is said to have lost a large part of his fortune in the global economic crisis.
