Philips Carbon Black Ltd (PCBL), a subsidiary of $3.5 billion RPG Group of companies, has announced that it is proposing to invest Rs 160 crore to expand the capacity of its Kochi plant in Kerala.
Under the expansion plan, the annual production capacity of the plant will be increased from 40,000 to 90,000 tonnes, out of which 50,000 tonnes of soft carbon would be produced to tackle its high demand of black carbon.
Kochi, July 25 : Jet Airways has announced a special promotional package for Indian students flying to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe or Asia.
The package is valid for outbound travel on or before October 31, 2008.

Kochi, July 24 : The Indian Spices Board here, has through a notification, alerted all exporters, manufacturers and other related industries to contamination found by European Union (EU) in whole star anise and Saigon cinnamon, which is imported from Vietnam.
Indian importers and manufacturing units of curry powders and garam masalas are required to make their imported consignments of whole star anise and Saigon cinnamon free from non-approved food colour, Chrysoidine, to avoid any kind of exports rejection and recall of their consignments.
