Slumdog Millionaire set to hit Chinese theatresIslamabad, Mar 18 : After taking the British and US audiences by storm, Oscar-winning film `Slumdog Millionaire' is all set to hit the Chinese theatre.

Directed by Danny Boyle, the film has secured a coveted slot as one of 20 major foreign movies that China will import this year, reports The News

Zhang Hongyan, a publicist for Hong Kong-based Edko Film, has revelaed that the film will be released in at least 2,000 theatres across China on March 26.

Boyle will attend the movie''s premiere in Beijing a day before.

Addressing media persons on the sidelines of a book launch program, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tanvir Mehmood Ahmed said: "The PAF has been made nuclear for giving it the status of a real deterrent force."

"We have made the whole of PAF a nuclear force. The PAF has achieved such a deterrence level that no one could cast an evil eye on the motherland," Air Chief Marshal Ahmed said.

Three Pakistani policemen killed in university attack Islamabad  - Suspected insurgents on Wednesday killed three policemen who responded to an emergency call after an attack on a university in Pakistan's troubled North-West Frontier Province, officials and media reports said.

The shootings occurred in Chakdara town of the Lower Dir district, 75 kilometres from the provincial capital, Peshawar, police officer Gul Mohammad said by telephone.
