Many takers for Ranchi’s ‘Netagiri School’

Ranchi, Mar. 3 : With the General Election 2009 just a few weeks away, a number of political candidates must be seeking to polish their leadership skills. There is a school in Ranchi, which promises to groom politicians into the leaders of tomorrow.

`Netagiri School', brainchild of Raj Ranjan, brother of Congress leader Gyan Ranjan, was established in 2001. It runs a three-month course, covering subjects like political science, sociology, social psychology and economics.

India condemns attack on Lankan cricketers in Pakistan

New Delhi has asked Islamabad to take urgent and meaningful steps to dismantle the terror infrastructure, as Pakistani terrorists are a threat to the world peace.

Talking to reporters here, External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee asked Pakistan to take bold and courageous steps to deal with this menace. He said India had to cancel the tour of cricket team to Pakistan, as New Delhi was aware that Islamabad is not a safe place.

Keith revealed that his wife was bowled over after she saw the venerable pictures, reports the China Daily.

"Nicole was impressed with the shots. It was spread over two pages and had staples in all the right places!" Keith told Britain''s New! Magazine.

Keith, who has a 7-month-old daughter, Sunday Rose with Nicole, revealed that he was not that comfortable posing naked being a father.

Anand Sharma terms attack on Lankan cricket team as "horrendous"

New Delhi, Mar 3 : Condemning the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore, Union Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma today termed it as "horrendous" and "unbelievable."

He said that India''s decision of not sending its team to Pakistan has been proved correct.

"It was not possible for India to expose its cricket team to the grave threat posed by the forces of violence in Pakistan," he added.

AICC spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said if Pakistan has become the epicentre of terror, then every country in the world must unite against this scourge by isolating the country and demanding immediate concrete results.

New Delhi - India Tuesday expressed shock at the terrorist attack on Sri Lankan cricketers in Pakistan and said Islamabad should take urgent steps to dismantle terrorism infrastructure on its soil.

The attack showed the "enormity of the threat" where "the terrorists strike at will," India's Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma said.

"We are shocked by the incident ... The Pakistan government should take urgent and meaningful steps to dismantle terrorism infrastructure," Sharma added.

"It is clear that the terror infrastructure in Pakistan is a danger to the region and the world," Sharma added.

"It's a shocking incident. It's quite clear that the security for Sri Lankan cricket team is hopelessly inadequate," Chidambaram said.
