According to figures, around 3 percent Indian mobile Internet users visit gaming sites. The entertainment sites are visited by 21 percent users. This trend is going popular in growing economies of the world. The users of BRIC (Brazil, India, Russia and China) countries like entertainment, gaming and music websites. These websites are among the top five visited website categories.  

Washington, Aug. 15 : U. S. President George W. Bush has greeted India on its 62nd Independence Day.

In a message to the Indian-American community in his country, Bush said that the event reminds America of the "close ties" it shares with India.

"I send greetings to those celebrating the 62nd anniversary of India''s Independence," Bush said in a statement released through his Office of Public Liaison.

New Delhi, Aug. 15 :Yoga guru Ram Dev on Thursday jumped into the thick of a raging shrine row in Jammu and Kashmir, by demanding that forest land taken away from the Amarnath Shrine Board be restored to it.

Demanding the repeal of a state government order, Ram Dev also called for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the region.

"The federal government should not only give the land back to the Amarnath Shrine Board, but it should also allot land for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, who are forced to live a life of refugees in their own country, which is very pathetic. I have visited Kashmir (and I know) there is a lot of land there which can be allotted for this purpose," Ram Dev told a news conference here.

Wagah, August 14-15 : At midnight of August 14-15, the gates at Indian side on the Wagah land border that divides it from Pakistan, were thrown open to for peaceniks from both nations, nations divided 61 years ago by the British colonial rulers.

Peaceniks lit candles at the gates of their respective countries to symbolize the hope and promise of Indo-Pak friendship and fraternity and celebrate their 14th friendship movement of common people of two nuclear powered nations.

New Delhi, Aug 15: Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Friday warned that his government''s response would be hard if the violence continued in Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar, India - Pakistani troops fired at Indian forward positions along a de facto border between the two countries in Jammu and Kashmir state early Friday, Indian officials said.

The Pakistani troops fired rockets and mortars at two places in forward areas of Jammu region, Indian Army sources said. There were no casualties.

Indian troops did not retaliate and a protest would be lodged with the Pakistani government, the sources said.

The line of control is a de facto border dividing the disputed Kashmir region into two parts, one administered by India and the other by Pakistan.
