New Delhi, Apr 11 : Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag on Saturday said he was hopeful that his team would put up a good show in the second edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in South Africa.

Mumbai, Apr. 11 : The State Bank of India has slashed interest rates for new small and medium enterprise loans besides announcing several measures to improve credit flows to the segment.

India's bigger lender cut the lending rates for new SME loans up to 5 lakh rupees to eight per cent, and 10 percent for loans upto 5-25 lakhs.

Vadodara (Gujarat), Apr 11 : With an eye on the upcoming general elections, a sweet shop in Vadodara has started producing sweets in the shape and colours of various political party symbols.

This unique concept has been successful in attracting hordes of customers in the city.

"It''s the time of Lok Sabha elections. So being a sweetshop owner, even I thought of preparing sweets especially for the season to attract the customers and party workers," said Ramesh Aggarwal, owner of the sweet shop.

New Delhi, Apr. 11 : The Congress party's Chandni Chowk MP Kapil Sibal has accused his BJP rival Vijender Gupta of violating the Model Code of Conduct.

Sibal released a CD to the press on Saturday to prove his case.

The CD displays Gupta's wife telling people that her husband''s signature had been instrumental in people getting more pension.

The wife of the MCD standing committee's chairman also displayed his poster while demanding bribery, Sibal said.

The whole episode, he said, amounts to a violation of the poll code.

Ranchi, Apr 11 : United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Saturday said that over half of the country comprises of youths, and they could usher a change and a revolution in the country.

"This is a country of youths. There are around 70 percent youths in our country today. Who can bring the change? Only the young generation can bring change. This is a century of change and revolution," Gandhi told an election rally here.

Mumbai, Apr 11 : The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel have arrested an American citizen with seven live cartridges at the Sahar International Airport here.

The arrested person, identified as Henry Hen, is a resident of Texas in United States. He was found to be carrying with him seven live cartridges of .22 bullets.

Booked under Arm's Act, he was later handed over to Sahar police station.
