Software exporter Tech Mahindra has made announcement about the establishment of its 1.2-lakh square foot development centre at the Mahindra World City Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Paranur near Chennai.

The facility, company’s seventh in India, has been set up with a total investment of Rs 30 crore. Initially, it will house around 1,400 software engineers and 1,000 more by the next 18 months.

Vineet Nayyar, vice-chairman, managing director and CEO, Tech Mahindra, state that the company has been covering up new players in the telecom application business and increasing its service lines.
