Bangalore, Jan 27, : Karnataka Police on Tuesday arrested the State convener of the Sri Ram Sena, Prasad Attavar for his role in the attack on women at a pub in Mangalore.

The Police also arrested Pramod Muthalik, the president of the Karnataka unit.

Public anger prompted the law enforcement authorities to arrest Attavar.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has constituted a three-member team to investigate the attack.

The NCW has also asked the director general of police (DGP), Karnataka, to send an action taken report to the commission in the matter.

Bangalore, Jan 24: The driver of the Honda Accord, Karthik Somaiah, who killed five persons in Bangalore today morning, surrendered before the Police after eluding them for hours.

Police said, "Somaiah was returning from a friend''s house in Koramangala to his Indiranagar home after overnight stay, rammed down a group of morning walkers today morning.

Somaiah is employed in a multinational bank and he surrendered in Shivajinagar Police station.

Mumbai Indians and Bangalore's Royal Challengers have reached a transfer agreement to swap explosive batsman Robin Uthappa and left-hand fast bowler Zaheer Khan for the second edition of the Indian Premier League.

The IPL transfer window opened on December 22 and it was reported that Mumbai Indians were "looking specifically" for an Indian fast bowler.

Bangalore, Jan 22 : Indian No. 3 outsourcer Wipro Ltd met expectations with an 8.7 percent rise in quarterly profit, but gave a downbeat outlook as its Western clients clamoured for lower prices, sending its shares down.

Wipro forecast its information technology services revenue, including from its acquisition of Citi Technology Services, at 1.05 billion dollars in the current quarter, down seven percent from the October-December period.
