Symposium on 'Zayed: Immortal Achievements'

ADNOC Implements Unique Projects to Reduce Carbon Emissions

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Abu Dhabi, 2nd Dec. 2008 -- The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) will implement all its future projects according to the framework of the Kyoto Agreement's Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) related to the reduction of carbon emissions.

Applying this in line with the directives of H. E. Yousef Omair bin Yousef, Secretary General of the Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC) and CEO of ADNOC, the company will be cooperating with the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (MASDAR) and Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD).

Indian community in the UAE mourn the dead in Mumbai terrorist attack

Talmiz-AhamadAbu Dhabi, 2 Dec. 2008 (WAM)-- The Indian community in the UAE has praised the support and solidarity extended by the UAE to the Indian Government in its fight against terrorism.

This was expressed by the Indian Ambassador in the UAE, Talmiz Ahamad, and other speakers attending a condolence meeting organised last night by the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi at the Indian Social and Cultural Centre to pay homage to the people who lost their lives in the recent terrorist attack in Mumbai, India.

Private sector to get three days as Eid-Al-Adha Holidays

Eid-Al-Adha HolidaysAbu Dhabi, Dec 01st, 2008 : Ministery of Labour has declared three days as Eid-al-Adha holidays for the private sector, starting from Sunday the 7th December
2008. The work in the private sector will resume from Wednesday the10th December.

A circular issued by the Minister of Labour HE Saqar Gobash today said that all the firms, establishments and companies in the private sector will observe the holidays.
