Ganguly has won the prestigious Castrol cricketer of the year award. A press conference was organized at his home to celebrate this award. Along with his feelings regarding the receiving of this prestigious award, Ganguly also expressed his reactions against the rumors which aim to malign reputation of his family.

He told media persons “I still want to play for Bengal. But, certain people in the CAB are intolerant of my brother’s success as the assistant secretary in the CAB administration. It must stop, otherwise I might be forced to take the extreme step of moving out of Bengal,”

Bangalore, Sept. 28 : Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has said that he missed being part of the Twenty20 World Cup.

“If India wins, you miss being part of the team. Yes, I missed being part of the Twenty20 World Cup,” Ganguly said.

Ganguly, who had a word of appreciation for Dhoni's captaincy, said the Australians were good, but Indian bowlers were also doing well.

When asked about Twenty20 cricket, he said, “One has to get adjusted to the three formats being played.”
