Patil reviews flood situation in Orissa

Shivraj PatialNew Delhi, Sept 23 : Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil undertook an aerial survey of flood affected areas of Orissa to day.

Union minister Chandra Shekhar, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Leader of Opposition J B Patnaik, state Congress president Jaydev Jena and senior Home ministry officials accompanied Patil.

Patil also held a closed-door meeting with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and discussed the latest flood situation.

During his visit, he will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to discuss the flood situation.

The Union Home Minister will undertake an aerial survey of the flood-hit districts including Puri, Cuttak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Jajpur.

Shivraj Patil New Delhi, Sept 22 : The Home Ministry has rejected as “speculative” media reports that Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil showed a casual approach to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi when he met him to convey some information about a possible terror attack on Delhi.

The report had also mentioned that Patil displayed restlessness during the meeting, as he was getting late for his lunch.
