Home Ministry rejects Modi’s charge against Shivraj Patil

Shivraj Patil New Delhi, Sept 22 : The Home Ministry has rejected as “speculative” media reports that Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil showed a casual approach to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi when he met him to convey some information about a possible terror attack on Delhi.

The report had also mentioned that Patil displayed restlessness during the meeting, as he was getting late for his lunch.

Patil’s meeting with Modi was scheduled for 1:00 p. m. on August 29, the Home Ministry statement said, and added that the Home Minister had an important meeting on Jammu and Kashmir with the Prime Minister at 1.30 p. m. on the same day.

Modi met the Union Home Minister at about 1.25 p. m. and the Union Home Minister spent 15 to 20 minutes with him, the statement further added.

Patil has been under fire politically in the wake of the serial blasts in Jaipur, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Delhi. (ANI)
