Islamabad, June 11: Senior PPP leader and Pakistan Information Minister, Sherry Rehman has said that her party never recognised President Pervez Musharraf as a legal and constitutional president, but he was “a reality and equally a compulsion”.
She blamed the erstwhile Musharraf regime for the present economic crisis. The former government had gifted the prevailing crisis to the coalition government and the party needs time to tackle it, she added.
Expressing intentions of removing Musharraf from the top post, she said, “We will transfer power from the Presidency to Parliament while restoring the Constitution of 1973.”
