New Delhi, Apr 28: Bollywood actor Sharmila Tagore and media personality Anurradha Prasad were among the recipients of the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) women excellence awards from Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit on Tuesday.

The FLO presented awards to 25 women achievers from diverse fields like art, business and entrepreneurs, public service, non-governmental organisations and professionals.

India International Centre (IIC) Chairman Karan Singh and Bollywood Director and filmmaker Yash Chopra were also present during the occasion.

The big news doing the rounds is that Chotte Nawab Saif Ali Khan has taken Kareena Kapoor to their ancestral home, Pataudis, and introduced her to the ‘Nawab’ family.
 
Veteran actress and Saif’s loving mom Sharmila Tagore disclosed that Saif along with Bebo often visits his ancestral home when he wants staying away from busy schedule. 

She said that the Pataudis, especially Saif’s father (Mansoor), are very fond of Bebo.

Sharmila Tagore: A Bengali actress who achieved success young, Sharmila appeared in numerous Bengali classics before making the jump to Hindi cinema, which made her a sex symbol. She is also the wife of His Highness Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Nawab of Pataudi, with whom she has three children, actor Saif Ali Khan, Saba and Soha Ali Khan.

Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and her daughter Soha Ali Khan are all set to take part in the Mumbai Marathon to show solidarity with a cause taken up by actor Rahul Bose's NGO.

“Children are the future of India and as UNICEF’S Goodwill Ambassador. I have pledged to speak up for the cause of children whenever and wherever it is necessary. I am participating in this marathon to support HEAL, a project run by Rahul Bose’s NGO,” said Sharmila in a statement.

The Mumbai Marathon, scheduled to be held on January 18, will feature some bigwigs from the world of entertainment, sports, politics and business. This will be the fourth year of the marathon.

Yesteryear superstar Sharmila Tagore and her daughter Soha Ali Khan will take part in the Mumbai Marathon in support of a cause taken up by actor Rahul Bose's NGO, ‘The Foundation’.

The mother-daughter duo of Sharmila and Soha is known for lending their support to the charitable causes.

This time, Rahul Bose said that Soha Ali reminds him of her mother, Sharmila Tagore.

Rahul said, “Soha is a great actress like her mom Sharmila ji. I guess the acting genes have been transmitted very well. There are so many daughters in Bollywood who are not even a patch on their mothers' acting or beauty. But Soha Ali Khan is a great actress and I guess she just needs the right film.”
