Samuel L. Jackson to be part of 'Iron Man 2'

Samuel L. JacksonWashington, Feb 26 : Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise the role of Nick Fury in as many as nine films for Marvel Studios, including 'Iron Man 2,' 'Thor,' 'Captain America,' 'The Avengers', 'The Shield' as well as potential sequels.

The news of this unprecedented deal comes just weeks after Jackson appeared to be unhappy with the status of negotiations with Marvel, reports Variety.

Initial reports indicated that Jackson was displeased with Marvel's earlier offers, considering the film's global success and 600 million dollars in box office earnings.

The new film titled Uneven Fairways will premiere on America''s Golf Channel this week (11Feb09), reports Contactmusic.

The documentary is based on books Uneven Lies by Pete McDaniel and Forbidden Fairways by Calvin H. Sinnette, presenting an era when "honour and fair play took a backseat to segregation".

Washington, Jan 21 (ANI): Welsh actor Michael Sheen has revealed that he was left terrified by Samuel L. Jackson's interrogating tactics on the sets of his new movie, especially when the latter enjoyed it thoroughly.

The two are starring in the upcoming thriller Unthinkable, where Sheen plays the role of a terrorist suspect and Jackson the cop who has to interrogate him.

Sheen, who was shackled and semi-naked during the torture scenes, was left with a lasting physical impression, after Jackson, who became a little too over eager, sliced his finger open.

London, Dec 4 : Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson has been honoured with an American Cinematheque Award.

Director George Lucas presented the Pulp Fiction star with the honour at a gala event in Beverly Hills, reports the Daily Star.

The 59 year old has now joined past recipients Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Al Pacino, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.

Jackson''s movies have grossed the most money in box office sales than any other actor in the history of film-making.

After the ceremony, Jackson told Hollywood Reporter, "I felt a bond with everyone in that theatre. (It was) a kinship that opened up a whole new world."

"I was shocked the day we had Vanessa Del Rio on set. I''m sure a lot of kids don''t have a clue who she is but I was excited about her because she was the first porn star who really enjoyed sex,” Contactmusic quoted Jackson, as saying.
