Kanpur, Mar 24 : Congress leader Sri Prakash Jaiswal on Tuesday said that Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta would campaign for the party in the upcoming general elections.

Jaiswal also said that actors Govinda and Nagma would also take part in rallies and road shows of the party.

Govinda is a Congress MP and Nagma has been an active member of the party in earlier elections.

Earlier, speculations were high about Zinta joining politics on a Congress ticket.

Preity Zinta has gone for the conditional adoption of 34 orphans from the Mother Miracle school in Rishikesh.

Reluctant to speak Preity says, "It's true. I've adopted these 34 girls. I'll be looking after their entire upbringing from education to food, clothes , etc. You've no idea how wonderful it feels to hear the excited chatter of all those girls together as they welcome you into their lives. Believe you me, it's the best birthday song I've ever heard."

During a screening session last evening, the censor board has raised finger on Deepa Mehta’s upcoming film Videsh (earlier titled Heaven on Earth).

According to reports, the board thought that the movie showcases excess aggression being shown on Preity and thus insisted on some scene cuts that would make the movie look less horrific.

Debutante director Prem Soni is presently preparing to shoot a special song for his film Main Aur Mrs. Khanna with its lead stars Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta in Mumbai. Unit sources claim a huge set is presently being erected for the song shoot the cost for which will run to Rs. 80 lakhs. This song will be shot between 20th to 25th March in a Mumbai studio. Farah Khan who has become very selective about her choreography assignments after turning director and now mother especially, will be choreographing this special song. With this song the entire shooting of the film will be completed.

Preity Zinta: Preity Zinta shot to fame as the refreshing, cool, wet model in the Liril ad. She also modeled for Perk and her dimpled smile won the hearts of million. Preity never thought she would be an actress. Kapoor saw her in the Liril ad and liked her so much that her instantly decided that the next film he would announce would have her in the lead. However 'Tara Rum Pum' never got made and is still pending since the director got very busy with his other projects.
