Now, Sharif’s ‘flip flop’, demands evidence in Mumbai terror attacksLahore, Dec 24 : Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) chief Nawaz Sharif after terming that lone surviving terrorist in the Mumbai terror attacks was a Pakistani national, has now backtracked from his earlier stand as usual, and demanded substantial evidences against the persons involved in the Mumbai attacks.

Sharif warned India against refraining from blaming Pakistan, and asked to provide concrete evidences against the persons involved in the Mumbai carnage, The News reported.

Sharif says Pak Parliament being turned into a concubine

Nawaz SharifLahore, Dec 22 : Former premier Nawaz Sharif has said that the Pakistani Parliament was being turned into a concubine.

He said that the promises made in the interest of the country have been thrown in the dust.

In
a statement issued here, PML-N chief said that every indicators of
Charter of Democracy stand erased, while the parliament was being made
a concubine.

He said that it would have been well, had the power been not seen getting concentrated into one person.

Sharif also warned that such judges should not be appointed, who could provide ground for any General to rule again.

Rehman slams Sharif for criticism of Govt. handling of Mumbai terror attacks

Islamabad, Dec. 19 : Pakistan Information Minister Sherry Rehman has criticized PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif for attacking the PPP-led government in the wake of the Mumbai terror attacks.

Referring to an interview of Sharif aired on a private television channel, Rehman said: "It is unfortunate that the leadership of a major political party, which we want to work with for rebuilding democracy and overcoming challenges, chooses a sensitive time to launch an attack on the government when the country needs nationalunity and consensus."

Sharif in his interview called Pakistan a failed and ungovernable state, the News reported.

Pak Government will not withdraw disqualification plea against SharifLahore, Dec. 19: The federal government in Pakistan is in no mood of withdrawing its appeal against the disqualification of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) chief Nawaz Sharif in the Supreme Court.

"The federal government does not intend to withdraw its appeal in the Supreme Court against the disqualification of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) chief Nawaz Sharif," Attorney General of Pakistan (AG) Latif Khosa said.

Sharif vehemently criticised the military rule of General Parvez Musharraf, and said that the General's regime made the country ungovernable.

Sharif urges US to defuse Indo-Pak tension

Nawaz SharifLahore, Dec 16 : Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has urged the US to play its role to defuse the tension between Pakistan and India, adding that the solution of the Kashmir issue was also vital for peace between both countries.

He said that the tense situation would also affect international peace. He also asked India to end the blame game against Pakistan.

Nawaz asked the United States to stop drone attacks in the Tribal Areas, and said that the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity would not be compromised at any cost.
