Islamabad, Jan. 16 : The Inter-Services Intelligence agency in Pakistan appears to have launched a coordinated CY-War against the country's former National Security Adviser, Major General (retired) Mahmud Ali Durrani, aimed at proving that he was an American agent in Islamabad working for American and Indian interests.

Lahore, Jan 12: The sacking of Pakistani National Security Adviser Mahmud Ali Durrani by the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani confirms reports about difference in the PPP-led government. Gilani's moves could also be interpreted as cozying up to the Army while distancing himself from the US.

This is not quite in consonance with the policy being formalized for President Aisf Ali Zardari by the Haqqani-Durrani duo with the tacit backing of Washington.

New Delhi, Oct. 11 : Pakistan National Security Advisor Mahmud Ali Durrani arrived here on Saturday on a five-day visit to India with an agenda focused on promoting friendship between the two countries.

Durrani shares a very good rapport with top Indian officials, and according to official sources, will be meeting with his Indian counterpart M K Narayanan and others.

Both are expected to discuss the recent ceasefire violations, the rise in cross border infiltrations and the Indian Embassy bombing in Kabul.
