After seeing the rushes of their film, the makers of Wake Up Sid, Dharma Productions felt their lead actress Konkona Sen Sharma wasn’t looking her best (read appeared fat). They conveyed this to Konkona in polite words and requested her for a re-shoot of all these portions. This would have lead to additional production costs but they were game for it. But then Koko banged her furious foot down declaring, “This is what I am and this is what you shall get!”

Zoya Akhtar's directorial debut LUCK BY CHANCE is based on the film industry and its dark side. Farhan Akhtar and Konkona Sen Sharma play lead role in the film.  

This movie is not meant for lovers of typical Bollywood masala movie. However intelligent viewers can like it as an Art film. The movie represents various issues related to film industry like exploitation of aspiring actors and actresses by producers and directors, broken dreams, struggle, false hopes etc.

Konkana Sen Sharma has proved her versatility and talent in a lot of films ranging from the popular commercial to the serious unconventional portrayal of today's woman in a Bengali film.

Sanjay confirmed the news and stated, “Yes, Konkona will be playing a role of a typical woman from today's society. She also gets to play opposite Rahul Khanna, a millionaire in the movie along with Javed Jaffrey. A prominent role is captured by Neha Dhupia too. The movie is a romantic comedy.”
