New York, Feb 17 : "Slumdog Millionaire" starlet Freida Pinto's newfound fame is taking a toll on her credit card, for the lady is on a shopping spree to look her best in all her appearances.

The actress was recently spotted at Liberty in London, where she picked up Alexander McQueen and Calvin Klein dresses to wear on Jay Leno''s "The Tonight Show."

Also, Pinto is "in talks with British shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood to custom-make shoes" for her red-carpet walk, reports The New York Post.

Washington, Feb 17 : Indian actress Freida Pinto is planning to move to New York because Big Apple "just feels like home."

The star from Mumbai has admitted that she''s beginning to feel homesick after a worldwide promotional tour of her breakthrough movie `Slumdog Millionaire'.

However, after spending time flying between the Big Apple and Los Angeles, the 24-year-old admits Manhattan has become a second home, where she can relax and gather her thoughts, reports Contactmusic.

London, Feb 15 : `Slumdog Millionaire' star Freida Pinto has dumped her fiance because she wants to concentrate on her career, it has been revealed.

According to friends, the 24-year-old has told Mumbai PR agent Rohan Antao that she could not be with him and be a world-renowned actress at the same time.

Pinto didn't want to get caught up in the regular routine life just when her career was taking off. So, she decided to call off the engagement, a pal said.

During her meteoric rise to stardom, Pinto had kept Rohan a secret from the media.

New York, February 7: A medical emergency was reported to have brought the filming of to "The Tyra Banks Show" to a standstill, just minutes before `Slumdog Millionaire' stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto were to go on air.

A woman in the audience was said to have suffered a seizure, and was later rushed to a hospital.

"A young woman in the audience went into a seizure and started convulsing. Paramedics rushed to the scene and began working on her," the New York Post quoted a source as saying.

London, Feb 03 : Four years ago when `Slumdog Millionaire' star Freida Pinto was just an aspiring model, renowned Bollywood photographer Ryan Martis knew that she had the spark to make it big.

Pinto showed off her great figure and long legs in a fashion shoot with Martis in 2005.

After modelling and starring in TV ads, the 24-year-old landed her debut movie role as Latika in the Oscar nominated movie.

"The moment I saw her I recognised that Frieda was going to become a model. In fact, I suggested she audition for some modelling jobs," the Sun quoted Martis, as saying.
