London, Dec. 2: Portuguese and Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has said that the level of scrutiny he is often subjected to, can get irritating at times.

The Manchester United star has bedded a host of beauties, but has not yet found his perfect girl.

According to the Daily Star, Cristiano, 23, has asked mum Dolores to run the rule over any future babes trying to snare him.

The Portuguese pin-up worships his mother, 52, who was fiercely opposed to him dating Spanish beauty Nereida Gallardo, 25.

The Portuguese winger was substituted in the 82nd minute of United’s goalless draw at Aston Villa on Saturday and was limping heavily as he left the ground.

The Sun quoted coach Alex Ferguson as saying: “His leg’s in a mess. He’ll be doubtful for Tuesday, I’m sure of that.”

Ronaldo was accused of trying to break Tiago Silva’s leg as Portugal crashed 6-2 in Brasilia on Wednesday.

“He’s a malicious guy and if I hadn’t jumped out of the way he would have broken my leg,” The Sun quoted Silva as saying while referring to the incident.
