Pawan Kalyan Ties The Knot With Renu Desai
Yuvarajyam president and Chiranjeevi’s youngest brother Pawan Kalyan has tied the nuptial knot with his live-in companion of eight years, Renu Desai on Wednesday.
Pavan and Renu have a 5 year old son Akira Nandan. Renu had also worked with Pavan Kalyan in two Telugu movies ‘Badri’ and ‘Johnny’.
The marriage, which was performed as per Arya Samaj rituals, took place at Pavan’s house in the upmarket Jubilee Hills in the city.
Among his other family members, Prajarajyam president and veteran actor Chiranjeevi attended the marriage and blessed the couples. Allu Aravind, brother-in-law of Chiranjeevi was also present at the wedding.
The media persons were not allowed at the wedding, but soon after the marriage, both the bride and the groom were officially introduced to the media.
After a lengthy legal dispute in 2008, Pawan got divorce from his first wife Nandini. Pawan had married Nandini in May 1997.
In a one time settlement, Pawan agreed to pay alimony of Rs 5 crore to Nandini in August 2008.
The sources said that Pawan could not marry Renu thus far because of legal hassles involved as he was already married to Nandini.
While speaking on this, a close friend of Pawan said, “The marriage with Renu Desai was on cards for sometime now after the legal hurdles were cleared. But they waited this long only for the completion of his father's first death anniversary.”
Recently, some leaders of the political parties had attacked Pawan for living with a woman without marrying her.
