Pakistan Is A Good Ally On War On Terror – United States

Washington: Amongst calls for one-sided action against al-Qaeda and Taliban within Pakistan, the US asserted that Islamabad continues to be a fantabulous supporter in the battle on terrorism but stated it is the President who is the decisive power in such type of matters.

Sean McCormack, State department spokesman stated, “Pakistan is a good ally in the war on terror. And in terms of the restrictions placed on aid to Pakistan, we're going to work with the Capitol Hill. But of course, the president is the ultimate authority on how to conduct American foreign policy.”

When asked to remark on the visit of US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Richard Boucher, to Islamabad, McCormack alleged, “I think he's had a meeting with President Musharraf or at least he will have a meeting with him as well as with the foreign minister and perhaps the prime minister.”
