Washington, Sept 28 : Early Polynesians sailed thousands of miles for exploration and trade, analysis of early stone woodworking tools by a team of Australian researchers from the University of Queensland has revealed.

They say the study confirms traditional tales of vast ocean voyages and hints that a trading network existed between Hawaii and Tahiti as early as a thousand years ago.

Washington, Sept 28: According to a study by researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has found further evidence to support the theory that allergy is a major factor in asthma.

The study was conducted by researchers led by Darryl C. Zeldin, M.D., a senior investigator at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and Peter Gergen, M.D., M.P.H, of NIAID’s Division of Allergy, Immunology and Transplantation.

Bangalore, Sept. 28 : Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has said that he missed being part of the Twenty20 World Cup.

“If India wins, you miss being part of the team. Yes, I missed being part of the Twenty20 World Cup,” Ganguly said.

Ganguly, who had a word of appreciation for Dhoni's captaincy, said the Australians were good, but Indian bowlers were also doing well.

When asked about Twenty20 cricket, he said, “One has to get adjusted to the three formats being played.”

Scientists say the discovery provides additional clues about the shaping of planetary nebulae.
