Gazza has no hopes left; friend predicts death within a year

Paul GascoigneLondon, June 7: One of retired English footballer Paul Gascoigne’s closest pals has said on Saturday that the soccer star, who suffers from pneumonia, alcoholism, mental illness and personal legal problems, will die within a year.

"Paul will have a complete organ breakdown," said Stephen Purdew.

Purdew reckons Gazza, who is undergoing therapy for bulimia, obsessive- compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and alcoholism, is in a far worse condition than George Best was a few months before he died.

Over 1.55 lakh people register for Amarnath Yatra

Amarnath Jammu, June 7 : Over 1.55 lakh people have registered themselves till now for the annual Amarnath Yatra which begins from June 15.

According to data available, 52,700 people have registered themselves for the pilgrimage from the Delhi zone itself, while 31,400 pilgrims are from the Mumbai zone and
2,700 from the South zone.

The pilgrimage was to begin from June 7, but was postponed to June 15 due to the heavy snowfall enroute to the holy shrine.

The two month long pilgrimage concludes on August 5.

Last year, over 4.5 lakh pilgrims visited the cave.

Chinese net-addict teenagers given electric shocks as treatment

However, the harsh methods used by the clinic have caused an outcry among 3000 teenagers, who have been subjected to this odd treatment, The Sunday Times reports.

At Dr Yang Yonxin’s clinic, there are at least 100 young inmates.
