New Delhi [India], Oct.24 : Microsoft India has launched its first full-scale Cybersecurity Engagement Center (CSEC) in India, after a successful year-long pilot. Situated in Delhi, the center will bring together Microsoft capabilities to foster deeper cybersecurity collaborations with public and private sector organizations and build a trusted and secure computing environment, a critical enabler for India's digital transformation.

"The purpose is to secure India in its journey of digital transformation," said Bhaskar Pramanik, chairman, Microsoft India.

Washington D.C [USA], Oct.24 : A research by University of Texas at San Antonio have thrown light on a method for detecting people dishonestly posting online comments, reviews or tweets across multiple accounts, a practice known as "astroturfing."

The study by Kim-Kwang Raymond Choo describes a statistical method that analyzes multiple writing samples. Choo and his collaborators found that it's challenging for authors to completely conceal their writing style in their text. Based on word choice, punctuation and context, the method is able to detect whether one person or multiple people are responsible for the samples.
