Washington D.C [US], Oct.23 : According to a recent study, scientists suggest that taking a certain kind of pill may prevent the accumulation of toxic molecules in brain which would help prevent or delay Alzheimer's disease.

The study took a three-pronged approach to help subdue early events that occur in the brain long before symptoms of Alzheimer's disease are evident.

The scientists were able to prevent those early events and the subsequent development of brain pathology in experimental animal models in the lab.

Lucknow [India], Oct. 23 : Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has called a meeting of MLAs and MLCs at his residence today, however, legislators considered too close to state party chief Shivpal Yadav have not been invited for the de-facto legislature party meeting.

According to reports, today's meeting is to be watched as it could witness Akhilesh Yadav spelling out his future course of action in the turf war which has erupted between him and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav.

This pre-emptive strike by the Akhilesh camp comes just 24 hours ahead of a similar meet called on Monday by his father and Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in Lucknow.

New Delhi [India], Oct. 23 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the valedictory address of the first ever global conference to strengthen Arbitration and Enforcement in India at New Delhi today. Today is the third and last day of the ongoing Global Conference.

The conference which began on Friday, titled 'National Initiative on Strengthening Arbitration and Enforcement' is being held to change the face of dispute resolution in India.

For the first time, six leading international arbitral institutions and all major industry associations have come together to drive this initiative.

The conference aims to provide impetus to commercial arbitration in the country, which is fast gaining pace across the world.

New Delhi [India], Oct. 23 : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday offered his condolences to the heartbroken family of Border Security Force (BSF) jawan Gurnam Singh, who succumbed to his injuries last night after he was shot in cross-border firing, and asserted that the slain soldier had given a shining example of sheer bravery.

"I am saddened by the demise of BSF jawan Gurnam Singh. He has given an example of bravery on the border and gave his life for the nation. I laud the sheer bravery and sacrifice of Gurnam Singh and offer my condolences to his grieving family," Rajnath said in a series of tweets.

Ludhiana (Punjab) [India], Oct. 23 : Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party' national convener Arvind Kejriwal will be visiting Ludhiana on Sunday to release the party's trade and industry manifesto for Punjab.

As per report, the manifesto will be released at a resort on Chandigarh Road in presence of representatives of trade, transport and industry associations.

Earlier, in a direct move aimed at reaching out to voters, especially the farmers, and luring them to cast their votes in favour of the AAP, the latter has been distributing forms declaring that it would waive off the farmers' loans after coming to power in the state.

For the past one week, such forms of assurance are being circulated door to door by AAP leader Sanjay Singh.
