ICL: India Defeats Pak By 4 WicketsPowered by a good batting performance, India ICL XI registered a comprehensive four-wicket win over Pakistan ICL XI.

Man of the Match Ambati Rayudu played a splendid innings of 65 runs for his team. Though he did not finish what he started, but batted long enough to ensure those behind him didn't sweat too much. Experienced left handed batsman Hemang Badani saw India through with an unbeaten 32 from 22 deliveries.

India did not get to a good start as it lost its opening explosive batsman G Vignesh in the very first over. However, keeper-batsman Ibrahim Khaleel took the score to 80 and placed the hosts on a solid platform. Before throwing his wicket to Arshad Khan, Khaleel had scored 36 runs from 27 balls with 4 fours and a huge six.  

Batting at number 4th position, all-rounder Stuart Binny failed to convert a dropped catch and drove a return catch back to Arshad. Skipper batsman R Sathish also fell cheaply to Mohd Sami. However, Rayudu continued to hit the ball well and crossed fifty from 36 balls with an inside-out slash.

Rayudu’s brilliant innings came to an end when he tried to nick an Abdul Razzaq delivery over wicket-keeper Humayun Farhat’s head. Rayudu scored 65 off 47, including eight hits to the fences and a six. But Badani and RS Sodhi pulled it off for India.

Earlier, batting first Pakistan team could manage to score only 165 runs by losing 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Expect, Naved and skipper Inzamam no other batsman could stay at the wicket for long. Naved scored the highest 44 for his team, while Inzy also chipped with a useful knock of 24 runs. From India, Murtaza and Jesuraj were the pick of the bowlers. Both picked 3 wickets each for their team.
