New Aids Reports Look Discouraging

The researchers of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention New Aids Reports Look Discouraging revealed a new report on AIDS and its prevention. The report has some shocking results. The people with HIV infection are increased by 40 percent as compared to previous years. 

The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention spends about $750 million a year on AIDS prevention. The disease is taking life of 15000 to 18,000 Americans, according to the head of CDC's AIDS branch, Dr. Kevin Fenton. He further said that he was not satisfied with the AIDS prevention program of CDC as it has failed to achieve its target.

The disease in the gay populations has significantly risen since 1998. The gay population of Jamaica, Kenya, and Ghana has also recorded high growth of HIV affected people.

There are 33 million people in the entire world who are infected with AIDS. About 2 million people die every year due to this fatal disease. The black gay population of US is highly prone to the HIV virus and it has recorded highest growth.

The United States, however, recorded decline in HIV patients but the homosexual population is quite prone to the HIV infection in the country.
