Zardari agrees to remove Musharraf: Sharif

Asif Ali Zardari, Pervez MusharrafLahore, May 28 : Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif today said that Pakistan People’s Party Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has endorsed the action to remove President Pervez Musharraf.

Sharif said the time to bring revolution has come “because it seems as if the February 18 decision of the people has not yet been accepted.”

He said that Musharraf had promised to step down in case the people’s mandate goes against him on February 18. But he failed to keep his word, Sharif added.

“I have made it clear to Asif Ali Zardari that if the judiciary is not restored he would also join in the lawyers movement,” The News quoted Sharif, as saying.

PML-N Chief said Musharraf should be indicted on charge of treason. “There is no need for giving him a safe passage.”

Sharif said that the people decided to bring a change in the country on February 18.

“If I could, I would have removed (President) Musharraf on February 19,” he added. (ANI)
