LTIMindtree (LTM) Share Price Target at Rs 5,125: Anand Rathi
Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers has maintained its BUY rating on LTIMindtree (LTM) and raised its 12-month target price to Rs 5,125 from Rs 4,717, implying about 16.7% upside from the Rs 4,390 market price. The IT services company grew September-quarter revenue 1.1% sequentially in constant currency to Rs 11,808 crore, while EBIT margin edged up 10 basis points to 15.6% despite wage hikes. Artificial intelligence work rose to 13.4% of revenue, up 40% from a year earlier, and banking clients returned to growth. Deal wins slipped to about Rs 12,050 crore, however, so the brokerage says faster growth must still be proven.

LTIMindtree delivered what Anand Rathi calls a steady quarter. The brokerage's conviction rests on a banking revival, a productivity squeeze that has largely run its course and AI revenue now large enough to matter. Two specific drags, a disruption in Saudi Arabia and seasonal contract renewals in Technology & Services, shaved an estimated 60 to 70 basis points off sequential revenue growth. Even so, the company held its margin through wage hikes and heavy AI spending, and management stuck to its view that the second half of fiscal 2027 will be stronger than the first.

Profit slipped sequentially largely because of a Rs 207 crore forex hedge loss, and management warned such losses could persist for two more quarters. Cash conversion also weakened sharply, with operating cash flow falling to 39% of profit from 79% in the June quarter, which the company tied to one-off gratuity funding, dividend-related tax deductions and advance tax payments in India and the U.S.

- Financial Services grew for a second straight quarter and returned to year-on-year growth of 0.4%. LTM added a new client above roughly Rs 950 crore in annual revenue, the fastest account in its history to reach that tier, and is one of five vendors a major bank retained from more than 50.
- Technology & Services was hit by a large client renewal and the Saudi business run through a joint-venture partner. Management expects normal growth from the December quarter.
- Consumer stayed soft as travel and hospitality clients tightened budgets on high fuel and energy prices.
- Production was the fastest grower, helped by a data-platform deal with a global energy equipment maker.
AI moves from pilot to payroll
The quarter's standout figure was AI revenue, which climbed to 13.4% of the total from 12% in the June quarter and grew 40% year on year. AI work commands higher rates and gross margins than traditional outsourcing, but investment in the BlueVerse platform, small language models and cloud skills is absorbing part of that benefit for now.

Total contract value fell 25% sequentially and 20.8% year on year, the weakest print in eight quarters, for a book-to-bill of 1.0x. Trailing 12-month wins eased 2.8% to about Rs 60,420 crore. Management blamed a deliberate shift toward AI-led deals lasting six to 12 months, rather than weak demand. Anand Rathi accepts that such deals convert to revenue faster, but says the trend deserves close monitoring because it depresses reported bookings, and that the pace of acceleration "still needs to be demonstrated."

Revenue estimates barely moved; the upgrade is about earnings. The stock trades at 18.6x fiscal 2028 earnings, well below its long-term average one-year forward multiple of about 24.8x and only modestly above the one-standard-deviation lower band of 15.6x. Anand Rathi does not spell out the multiple behind its target; by TopNews's calculation, Rs 5,125 equals roughly 21.7x fiscal 2028 or 19.6x fiscal 2029 EPS. Management expects fiscal 2027 EBIT margin broadly in line with fiscal 2026's 15.4%, a touch below the brokerage's 15.8%.

Editor's note
- The report's first page says Technology & Services revenue fell 4.0% sequentially, while its demand commentary shows +0.3%, the same figure given for Consumer. The first-page figure fits the described renewal and Saudi drag, so TopNews uses it, but the discrepancy is unresolved.
- The report says headcount "remained flat" while also citing a net addition of 949 employees, a 1.1% increase.
- The acquisition is called "Randstad Digital's businesses in Europe and Australia" in one place and the "Randstad Technology Consulting Services business" in another; TopNews treats both as the same proposed deal.
