Beta-1 version of Internet Explorer 8 now available in German
Unterschleissheim, Germany - German-speaking technophiles can soon download the Beta-1 version of Internet Explorer 8 in their native language.
The program is intended for developers and web designers, according to Microsoft's German offices near Munich. But even "normal" users should be able to benefit from the new functions as long as they are technically inclined.
Microsoft says the new program will offer multiple opportunities to manage add-ons in the browser. It will also come with increased protection from fraudulent websites.
The browser can be downloaded at www. microsoft. com/downloads. A second beta version with even more functions is in the works, though no release data has been announced. (dpa)
