L&T Gets 4 Orders From Andhra Pradesh
Mumbai: Engineering and construction major Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has received four orders valued at Rs 452 crore for projects in Andhra Pradesh.
In a statement to the BSE, the company said that the company has got Rs 226 crore order from NTPC for Simhadri Coal Handling Plant, whereas the other three deals valued at Rs 226 crore were received from Public Health and Municipal Engineering Department of Andhra Pradesh.
L&T said that the NTPC deal would consist of design, engineering, supply and installation of 2 x l600 TPH coal handling facility for Simhadri Super Thermal Power Project (STTP) in Andhra Pradesh, a Stage-II (2x500 MW) plant to be finished in 39 months.
Previously, the company (L&T) had built the coal handling plant of Simhadri Super Thermal Power Project Stage-1 in 2002 before bagging this repeat order for enhancing the installed capacity of STPP from 1000 MW to 2000 MW by adding 2 units of 500 MW each.
The Rs 226-crore deal from AP administration comprises a Rs 93-crore order for engineering, procurement and construction of an underground drainage scheme for Nizamabad township to be completed in 24 months.
The second order from AP government, which is valued at Rs 88 crore is for engineering, procurement and construction of water supply improvement scheme to Nellore scheduled for completion in 18 months.
The company said that the third order of Rs 45 crore is to supply pure drinking water to Rayadurg in Ananthapur and comprises construction of water treatment plant, reservoirs and pumping stations to be finished in next 15 months.
