UK developer Media Molecule has confirmed that more than 1.5 million new users have played LittleBigPlanet since April, when the PlayStation Network was ousted for 25 days following a hacking attack.

Media Molecule co-founder Alex Evans said, "LittleBigPlanet is not a stagnant community. There's multiple levels being published every second. You can no longer keep up with the amount of content."

The developer also confirmed that more than 4.7 million levels have now been published in LittleBigPlanet and overall, these levels have been player about two billion times. Phil Harrison, former Sony president of worldwide studios believes that the game gradually "coaxes" players onto PlayStation Network.
