DPSC posts Rs. 3.64 crore net profit in first quarter

DPSC posts Rs. 3.64 crore net profit in first quarterPower utility DPSC Limited has reported its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11. According to the report, it has registered a significant net profit rise in the reviewed quarter.

The profit after tax for the company during the April-June quarter of fiscal year 2010-11 was found out to be Rs. 3.64 crore. In its corresponding quarter, last year the bank has posted a net profit of only Rs. 11.73 lakh. Hence the June quarter performance of the firm has been really impressive.

DPSC Limited has informed this in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange. The total income of the company has also gone up in this quarter as compared to same quarter last year.

Chairman of DPSC, Mr. Hemant Kanoria has informed that, the government has widened the opportunity for the companies in the power sector. The government has proposed several investment plans in this sector which will be an added advantage for the firm.

Mr. Kanoria has also said that, now vast opportunities are available for DPSC under the 12th Five Year Plan.
