Spice Mobile has tied up with Opera Software for their latest Mobile Browser feature- Opera Mini on their GPRS & Java enabled phones.

New-Delhi headquartered, Spice Mobiles Limited is a part of Spice Corp, India's leading conglomerate involved in automation, technology, IT, telecom and entertainment.

The company is the first handset manufacturer to offer full Web browsing with Opera Mini in India. The Opera Mini will be used as the Web browser on the upcoming mobile phones from Spice Mobile in India.

With this, Spice Mobile's customers will be able to access all their favorite websites with Opera Mini, which automatically customizes the size and look of websites as per the phone. The browser will be pre–loaded on all GPRS and Java phones.

Opera Mini's compression technology compresses traffic by up to 90%, without removing or altering Web site content. This results in the fastest and most robust experience possible, while keeping download costs under control.

Recently, leading operator Tata Teleservices Ltd, announced its initiative to provide Opera Mini on its BREW-enabled handsets.
