Mumbai-based IT services major Tech Mahindra has informed that its net profit on consolidated basis during the second quarter ended September 30, 2009 has witnessed a decline of 44% to Rs 169 crore as compared to Rs 302 crore in the like quarter last financial year.

In addition, revenue of the company during the said quarter stood at 1,141 crore, down 1.9% crore from Rs 1,164.8 crore in the similar period last fiscal.

The company in its filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange mentioned that for the second quarter ended September 30, 2008 it had write back of Rs 67.3 crore.

Compared to the quarter ended June 30, 2009, company’s net profit figure has witnessed a growth of 20% from Rs 140.9 crore, revenue grew 2.5% from Rs 1,113 crore.
