Becks, Posh turn UK mansion into fortress to avoid theft

Becks, Posh turn UK mansion into fortress to avoid theftLondon, January 26: Ace footballer David Beckham, 33, and his wife Victoria, 34, have turned their UK mansion into a fortress to avoid any theft of their valuables.

According to reports, workers at their mansion have to sign in and out of every room.

The couple are said to have created a massive list of the things they own, and they keep treasured items under lock and key.

The decision to heighten security came following the couple's fear that their belongings were being sold on eBay without their consent.

The 2.5million-pound Hertfordshire home has CCTV, 24-hour security patrols with guard dogs, and a high wall with razor wire.

It is said to be patrolled by former SAS squaddies in Land Rovers.

"Even if you're only going there for a few hours, you still have to sign in and out of every room. The cameras watch you from the minute you go in - it's like a military base," the Daily Star quoted one worker as saying.

A friend said: "Security was already a big deal, but it's even bigger after the eBay problems."

However, a spokesman for the Beckhams denied that there was a new security regime affecting staff. (ANI)
